At Peligoni, our range of sporting activities gives our guests the chance to enjoy daily workouts and classes in our shaded and fully equipped outdoor gym or in one of many peaceful beautiful locations. From yoga to our weekly triathlon, there’s a sport for everyone to enjoy and take part in during their holiday.

Tennis

Exclusive to our members, The Peligoni Club has two AstroTurf courts located just a short walk from the main club grounds. We also have a resident tennis coach for private lessons and a Tennis Academy for those aged 16 and above.

Court Use

Reserve a court by the hour for private play or take part in our group classes/weekly tournament. All included in the membership.

Tennis Academy For 16+ Yr Olds

A series of sessions and games designed to improve tennis skills whilst having fun.

Booking

Courts are free to use for members and can be booked with reception up to 24 hours in advance. We kindly ask that practice is limited to an hour so that everyone gets a chance to play.

Peligoni’s Resident Tennis Coach

A proud Scotsman, Peter, who was introduced to tennis by his Grandfather at the tender age of 6, is now a Level 3 qualified coach and particularly enjoys classes specialising in technique, umpiring and classic rally practice.  A lover of all things tennis, Peter is on hand 6 days a week to inspire the kids and to challenge the grown-ups.

Private Coaching

Book group or one-to-one lessons with Peter, who is on hand to raise your game. Having completed his training qualification at 16, Peter then trained alongside Andy Murray’s first coach and was involved in a fundraising program with Judy Murray building tennis courts for his local high school. Returning for his third year as Peligoni’s tennis coach, he certainly has the expertise to keep you on your toes.

Fitness with OyoGO

Prepare to sweat and feel the burn! Revitalising our fitness offering at Peligoni, we have teamed up with our fabulous partners at OyoGO to offer guests a variety of tummy toning, endorphin producing and all-round feel good exercise classes. Whether it be in our outdoor gym or from you villa, you can keep up with your fitness regime whilst enjoying your holiday.

Every day we put on a range of complimentary fitness classes run by our in-house personal trainers – simply sign up at reception. The fitness agenda will be available on your arrival to the club listing all of the classes taking place that week.

Personal Training

Everyone has different fitness styles and specifications, which is why our instructor can conduct private training sessions tailored to your requirements. Whether it’s a gym session, private yoga, coastal run, or in-villa workout you want, we’re happy to make each session unique to you to keep you feeling tip-top throughout your holiday. Mark is a highly experienced London based Personal Trainer and Functional Fitness group instructor. His passion and enjoyment for all areas of fitness is infectious and his creative class programming will have you smashing out world class workouts.

Jasmine Bailey – 19.06 – 10.07

Jasmine has many strings to her bow making her an all-rounder for both our fitness and yoga offering. Jasmine is a Fitness Instructor, qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer, has completed 200 hours of Vinyasa yoga training and is a Dance and Fitness graduate. With an impressive array of talent, expect multi-layered classes.

Gia Chapman-Costa – 11.07 – 24.07
Based in west London, with a dance background in Ballet and Contemporary, Gia is a qualified Personal Trainer, Pre and Postnatal specialist, Mat Pilates trainer and Level 3 Sports Massage Therapist. With a holistic approach to fitness with a strong emphasis on form, Gia encourages small sustainable lifestyle changes with workouts designed that are enjoyable and informative to set you up for ongoing success.

JJ Tindale – 24.07 – 08.08
JJ is a Level 3 qualified fitness Personal Trainer, reformed pilates instructor and a professional cheerleader! JJ teaches dynamic HIIT sessions, focusing on core and strength work bringing his background in reformer pilates and cheerleading to help define and sculpt the body. His sessions often include bands, balls, TRX and dumbbells.

Trained in: Level 3 PT and group fitness.
Commonly referred to as ‘The Energiser Bunny’ expect sweat, smiles and a serious workout! Using a combination of bodyweight, resistance and functional training there will be no muscle left untouched and you’ll be left with that ever sought after endorphin-high!

Nicole is an ex-body building competitor turned fitness yogi. She loves training for strength alongside understanding recovery and mental stability. Nicole’s passion for all-round health will ensure you work until failure and will bring you back to your zen on the mat.

Opening times and rules of use

The gym is open from 7am until dusk.

Under-14s are not permitted and 14-16s must be accompanied by an adult.

Yoga with OyoGO

Enjoy daily yoga classes taught by our partners from the London-based yoga collective OyoGO, a team of London's best yogis to deliver outstanding yoga to the club, with different instructors taking turns to join us throughout the summer.

OyoGO at Peligoni

Working on rotation, OyoGO’s instructors teach two complimentary daily classes to all levels throughout the season. The weekly schedule will be a mix of familiar yoga styles with a few special sessions tailored to the instructor’s individual skill-set so check with reception for details during your stay. Classes at the club are included in your membership. Private classes can be held at the club or in the comfort of your villa, at an extra cost.

Sasha Morgan – 12-06 – 26.06

Trained in 200hrs Vinyasa & 50hr Restorative, Yin & Mindfulness
Sasha’s love of movement began at a young age and came to fruition when she trained professionally as a dancer. Whether you join her challenging Barre, Vinyasa or Dynamic Pilates classes or her deeply restorative Yin Yoga, her class will leave you feeling more connected to yourself and incredible in your skin.

Veronica Kadi – 03-07 – 17.07

Trained in 200hrs Ashtanga & Ashtanga Vinyasa
Veronica developed a deeper self practise for Yoga whilst travelling around Asia six years ago. Veronica focuses her teachings in Vinyasa, Rocket, Mandala and Yin. At the centre of her practise is a steady breath as well as a strong focus on building strength and challenging the mind and body. She aims to guide and encourage students to move their bodies intuitively and intelligently in class.

Andrew Stevenson – 17-07 – 29.07

Trained in Vinyasa Flow, Rocket & Madala
Andrew has always been interested in the Asana practice but after training as a teacher, he became more aware of the deeper influences and roots of yoga. After teaching for two years and further training in Vinyasa flow, Rocket and Madala, Andrew’s classes are dynamic, creative, and have an emphasis on playful transitions and restorative postures to seal the practice.

Her focus is on strength and mobility, using yoga for sports recovery and to develop fitness and strength. You can expect her sessions to get you moving and sweating, with lots of fun challenges to keep you on your toes!

The Gym

The gym and fitness area contains a selection of equipment, an open exercise floor, and new for 2021, two Peleton bikes. It is free to use for members and our highly qualified OyoGO instructors are on hand to help and guide.

Cycling

Surrounded by unspoiled hills, the terrain around The Peligoni Club is ideal for exploration by bike. We have a selection of high performance road bikes, e-bikes and mountain bikes to explore the winding roads either by hosted daily rides or alone.

Hosted Rides

Six days a week we host a guided ride which take you along the coast and up smaller climbs with beautiful views of the Ionian Sea. More taxing rides are also available, with big elevation changes and epic scenery guaranteed.

Triathlon

For guests who love a gruelling challenge, our weekly triathlon was designed with you in mind.

The Triathlon

Starting at the club, The Peligoni Triathlon is comprised of: the island swim of 0.8km, a 5km run and a 10km bike ride. You can do the whole lot or just one leg. The finish line is at The Peli Deli, where celebratory pastries, coffees and waters are provided.

The triathlon usually takes place early on a Friday morning and we may vary the order event races depending on the day’s temperature levels.

THE RUN | 5K

Departing from the club, the runners head along the coast before heading uphill, close to The Peli Deli before heading along the track behind some Peligoni villas. Then, dropping back down onto the coast path and returning to the club.

SHEILA’S SWIM | 0.8KM

Named after the one and only Sheila, one of our most legendary members of staff and founder of our triathlon, Sheila’s Swim is a race around a little island in the local Port of Agios Nikolaos. We whisk you there by boat, drop you off to race around the island, before we all head back to the club. Swimmers stay close to the island and are each attached to a brightly colour buoy. Staff are nearby to lend a hand if needed.

BIKE RIDE | 10K

From the Bike Shed, riders go through the Port, and up the hill past towards Korithi. Then you head left towards Anatoli, all the way up to an Olive Press. Once there, it’s freewheeling all the way down before turning right at the main road turn off. It can also be done on our of our two e-bikes if you want an easier ride!

Then we all finish at The Peli Deli for a little celebration!
