Covid-19 – Updated policies

Update to Club opening dates and travel restrictions this summer.

The Greek government has announced its plan to reopen tourism from May the 14th  and the requirement for a 7-day quarantine on arrival into Greece has now been lifted.

We are on track and will open the Club this year on time on the 29th May.

In light of the unprecedented demand for Peligoni holidays this year, we are very excited to announce that we are extending the season this year and will now close the club on Sunday the 31st of October after the UK October half-term, these dates will be available to book shortly.

For our UK customers:

The Global Travel Taskforce has announced a framework to reopen international travel from 17 May 2021 at the earliest, with customers travelling from England subject to a new traffic light system with ‘green’, ‘amber’ and ‘red’ destinations:

  • RED – Hotel quarantine on return to UK – We will not expect customers to travel to Zakynthos from the UK if it is designated as a ‘red” destination and that requires a hotel quarantine on return. Should this be the case, 2 weeks prior to your arrival, we will contact you with your options which will include options to transfer to alternative dates, take a credit for a future stay or a full refund should you wish.
  • AMBER – For guests due to arrive in May and June, should the UK government initially designate Zakynthos as an ‘amber’ destination, the club will be open for you however, you will be offered the opportunity to defer your holiday to alternative dates this season, subject to availability, up to 2 weeks prior to your arrival in Zakynthos. We will review these policies for arrival dates later in the summer closer to the time and we will present the options in due course.
  • GREEN – Under a green designation, holidays are expected to go ahead as planned, and except in exceptional circumstances, no deferrals will be automatically available.

For customers from the EU and other nations:

We will apply the same principal to travellers from other countries as we will to our UK customers. If restrictions in the country in which you reside prevent you from travelling to Greece, or the restrictions on return to your home country are substantially onerous (e.g mandatory hotel quarantine on return) you will be offered a to defer your holiday (subject to any price changes) or receive a full refund, whichever you prefer.

We will continue to update this page with any relevant changes over the course of the next few weeks.
