Latest Covid-19 related updates

Greece is open to the vast majority of major nations without significant restrictions on entry.

The club opened on Saturday the 29th of May as planned.

Rules in Greece are gradually being relaxed so that as of now, no masks are required in outdoor settings, there is no longer any curfew in place, table sizes have increased to 10 persons and weddings and events of up to 300 people are now permitted.

In light of the unprecedented demand for Peligoni holidays this year, we are very excited to announce that we are extending the season this year and will now close the club on Sunday the 31st of October after the UK October Half Term, these dates are now available to book online or via our Sales team.

For our UK customers:

The UK government removed all legal rules restricting international travel on 17th May and on 4th October updated the previous traffic light system to a ‘Red’ country list and a ‘Rest Of The World’ list.

The list of countries and territories on each list is being reviewed every 3 weeks. Separately the Foreign and commonwealth office has its own guidance on travel – Currently, the FCDO is not advising against all but essential travel to Zakynthos and you will be able to get travel insurance e.g. axa – travel insurance in Covid times

Our policies below reflect that system:

  • RED – Hotel quarantine on return to UK – We will not expect customers to travel to Zakynthos from the UK if it is designated as a ‘red” destination which would require a hotel quarantine on return. Should this be the case, 2 weeks prior to your arrival, we will contact you with your options which will include options to transfer to alternative dates, a credit for a future stay or a full refund should you wish.
  • REST OF THE WORLD – Under a ‘rest of the world’ designation, holidays are expected to go ahead as planned, and except in exceptional circumstances, no deferrals will available. For guests who are full vaccinated, it is no longer necessary to take a pre-departure test in the 72 hours before returning to the UK.

For customers from the EU and other nations:

We will apply the same principal to travellers from other countries as we will to our UK customers. If restrictions in the country in which you reside prevent you from travelling to Greece, or the restrictions on return to your home country are substantially onerous (e.g mandatory hotel quarantine on return) you will be offered a to defer your holiday (subject to any price changes) or receive a full refund, whichever you prefer.

We will continue to update this page with any relevant changes over the course of the next few weeks.

Sincerely,

Ben Shearer – Managing Director
