Watersports

Watersports are a huge part of Peligoni and our set up is designed to ensure that guests get the best experience on the water.

Hit the water

Sailing, Windsurfing & SUP

The Peligoni Club is blessed with fantastic conditions for sailing with a reliable, consistent afternoon breeze that blows left to right across the bay. Our boats are regularly replaced and very well maintained. We have a variety of craft from the Laser Pico for beginners and children, Laser 1’s for the more experienced sailor, Laser Bahia and RS Visions for groups of 3 or more, Laser Vagos for the more advanced and a large number of RS CAT 16s for fans of catamarans. The Club prides itself on its standard of tuition, mostly carried out on a one to one basis by our team of fully RYA qualified instructors.

Stand up paddle boarding and kayaking are firm favourites among kids and adults alike. It is a great way to get out on the water when the wind is light, as well as great exercise and brilliant fun. We have a range of single and double handed kayaks, along with a large number of SUPs for guests to enjoy, particularly in the mornings when the wind is light. A fleet of support boats ensures that all activities undertaken on the water are done so with the utmost safety in mind.

As with sailing, the winds at The Club provide some of the best windsurfing conditions in the Mediterranean. With gentle winds in the morning for beginners and stronger winds building through the afternoon for the more advanced windsurfers, there are few spots that can compete.

The Club also takes great pride in the level of equipment and instruction on hand for our guests. We have sails and boards to suit all levels and all sizes of windsurfer. From young children just getting started, to expert adults looking to perfect the latest freestyle manoeuvre, we stock a large and up to date quiver of Starboard boards, along with a huge range of sails from 2.7m – 7.5m. Most intermediate windsurfers will find themselves sailing in the 4.5 – 5.5m range most afternoons. These watersports are all an optional upgrade to the standard membership.

Waterskiing & Wakeboarding

It goes to show how lucky we are with the location of The Peligoni Club, that with the breezy nature of the afternoons, we also have fantastic calm, flat water in the mornings. The waterski/wakeboard team operates from 7am every morning to take advantage of the very best conditions, for as long as the weather permits, starting up again in the evening if the wind dies off. Our team of fully qualified instructors are on hand to help with your first steps into these fantastic sports, and to coach the more advanced on details of technique and the latest tricks.

We have two Mastercraft NXT20s,  small enough to deliver a soft, attackable wake at slalom speeds, but with the ballast in and at slower wakeboard speeds will deliver a serious steep and heavy ramp, a wakeboarder’s dream.

Ringos & Banana Boat

What’s more fun than hopping into a ringo to fly across the waves! This is a super fun activity that’s hugely popular with our teens and kids, and great way have a lot of fun on the water.

You can also gather a group and hop on our bright yellow banana boat! This exhilarating activity is fun for all, just don’t do it after lunch!

Watersports Prices

During high season, we want to ensure that access to sailing, windsurfing and paddle sports remains queue free, which is why we introduce an additional fee during these months. You can find these prices listed on our Membership page.

Ski, wake, ringos and banana boat are priced per session and must be booked in advance via our Guest Hub or at the reception upon arrival.
