Watersports are a huge part of the Peligoni club experience and our coastal location is designed to ensure that our guests get the best experience of the beautiful Ionian sea. Whether it’s wakeboarding, a banana boat ride, or an afternoon of sailing, The Peligoni Club is a perfect place to enjoy a watersports holiday in Greece.

Sailing, Windsurfing & Paddle Sports
The Peligoni Club is blessed with conditions for some of the best sailing in Greece, with a reliable, consistent afternoon breeze. We have a variety of Laser boats which can be matched to all levels of sailing experience, including catamarans; our range of crafts are regularly replaced and very well maintained.
Peligoni prides itself on its high standard of sailing tuition, mostly carried out on a one-to-one basis by our team of fully Royal Yachting Association-qualified instructors.
The winds at The Peligoni Club also provide some of the best conditions in Zakynthos for windsurfing. With gentle Mediterranean breezes in the morning for beginners and stronger winds building through the afternoon for the more advanced windsurfers, there are few spots anywhere in Greece that can compete.
Exploring the coasts of Zakynthos by kayak or stand up paddleboard (SUP) are firm favourite activities among kids and adults alike. It is a great way to get out on the water when the wind is light, as well as great exercise and brilliant fun.
We have a range of single and double-handed kayaks, along with a large number of SUPs for guests to enjoy, particularly in the mornings when the wind around Zakynthos is light. A fleet of support boats ensures that all activities undertaken on the water are done so with the utmost safety in mind.
The Club also takes great pride in the level of equipment and instruction on hand for our guests. We have sails and boards to suit all levels and sizes of windsurfer, from young children just getting started, to expert adults looking to perfect the latest freestyle manoeuvre. We stock a large, up-to-date quiver of Starboard boards, along with a huge range of sails from 2.7m – 7.5m.
Waterskiing & Wakeboarding
It goes to show how lucky we are with The Peligoni Club’s coastal location that, with the breezy nature of the afternoons, we also have fantastic calm, flat water in the mornings. The water ski and wakeboard team operates from 7am every morning to take advantage of the very best conditions Zakynthos has to offer, for as long as the weather permits, resuming in the evening if the wind dies off.
Our team of fully qualified instructors are on hand to help with your first steps into these fantastic sports, and to coach the more advanced on details of technique and the latest tricks.
We have two Mastercraft NXT20s, small enough to deliver a soft, attackable wake at slalom speeds. With the ballast in and at slower wakeboard speeds, the ocean around The Club will deliver a seriously steep and heavy ramp: a wakeboarder’s dream.
Ringo Rides & Banana Boats
What’s more fun than hopping into a ringo to fly across the waves? This is a super fun activity that’s hugely popular with our teens and kids, and a great wayto have a lot of fun on the water.
You can also gather a group and hop on our bright yellow banana boat. This exhilarating activity is fun for all—just don’t do it after lunch!
Our watersports packages are all an optional upgrade to the standard Club membership. During high season, we want to ensure that access to sailing, windsurfing and paddle sports remains queue-free, which is why we introduce an additional fee during these months. You can find these prices listed on our Membership page.
Waterskis, wakeboards, ringos and banana boat rides are priced per session and must be booked in advance. This can be done via our Guest Hub or at the reception upon arrival.
