Excursions & The Local Area

Discover Zakynthos

Experience life beyond Peligoni and uncover the island’s rugged charms on a day trip or local excursion. Explore by sea on our beautiful wooden yacht, Odyssey, or on land with a visit to a local taverna for freshly caught fish and a cold beer in a frozen glass.

Odyssey

Crewed by a fully qualified skipper and host, our 55ft wooden kaiki-style yacht, Odyssey, will take you along the beautiful Zakynthian coastline. You’ll drop anchor for lunch, drinks, and some of the best swimming in the Ionian Sea.

A serene cove with crystal-clear turquoise water, viewed from a white ornate balcony with classical balustrades. Two small boats are moored in the protected inlet, surrounded by a rocky shoreline covered in dense green vegetation and trees. Below, a narrow concrete dock extends into the water where people can be seen relaxing under a white umbrella. The hillside behind is rugged and covered with Mediterranean scrub and pine trees, creating a peaceful, secluded atmosphere.

Mikro Nisi

Make a day of it at our seafront taverna, Mikro Nisi. Catch a water taxi from The Club, set up camp for a spell of sunbathing, then head up for a mezze-style lunch you can linger over for hours.

A person mid-jump diving into bright turquoise Mediterranean waters from a boat's stern platform. The dramatic Navagio Beach (Shipwreck Beach) in Zakynthos, Greece serves as the backdrop, with its iconic towering white limestone cliffs framing the secluded cove. A traditional shipwreck is visible on the sandy beach, and the boat's metal railing is visible in the foreground.

Shipwreck Beach & Blue Caves

Every Wednesday morning, a privately chartered boat is ready to whisk you away to the island’s most famous sight. Sail up to the bay of Shipwreck Beach for a glimpse of the legendary wreck, before heading back to Peligoni via the spectacular Blue Caves.

A white luxury powerboat speeds through calm waters at dusk, creating dramatic white wake trails. The boat has a black T-top canopy and carries several passengers. In the background, a dramatic mountainous coastline covered in green vegetation rises against a sky filled with pink and purple clouds. The scene captures the golden hour ambiance of coastal boating near a scenic Mediterranean or tropical setting.

Powerboat rental

The best way to enjoy Zakynthos’ spectacular coastline is by sea. Rent a private boat through our partners – skippered or un-skippered – for a half or full day of exploring.

A woman in a black sundress walks toward a rustic pottery shop with a terracotta tile roof and white walls. The shop has 'POTTERY' signage in yellow letters above the entrance, where various ceramic items are displayed. A large tree with drooping branches provides natural shade over the concrete courtyard, which features several potted plants. The Mediterranean-style setting is captured in natural daylight.

Explore the island

Make the most of being in the beautiful north of Zakynthos and discover your surroundings. Head into Volimes to browse handmade pottery and lace, try out a remote taverna, or take a drive to the island's unspoilt, undiscovered west coast.

Our local suggestions

In the north of Zakynthos, you’ll discover a beautifully untainted way of life. With the occasional ring of a goat's bell and the sound of singing cicadas, the peaceful ambience up here will make you feel like you’ve travelled in time – and you might not ever want to leave.

Any questions?

A tranquil Mediterranean harbor scene viewed through flowering oleander branches, showing several boats including a classic wooden sailboat with an orange buoy, a small motorboat, and a modern catamaran anchored in calm blue waters at dusk. The warm golden light creates a peaceful coastal atmosphere with silhouetted vegetation framing the maritime view.
