Accommodation and Peligoni Club Booking Conditions

 

Booking process

All bookings are made with Peligoni Booking Services Ltd (PBS Ltd) acting as agents for the House Owners except in the case of Club facilities where Peligoni Booking Services Ltd is acting for the Peligoni Club Epe, Volimes, Zakynthos, Greece, (hereinafter called the ‘Company’.) Villa prices are for accommodation only and exclude airfares, transfer, catering, car hire and club membership/watersport packages. Bookings are made on the company booking form,  duly signed and accompanied by the appropriate deposit, which is 25% of the total rent due. At certain times of the year membership and watersport packages will need to be paid in full with the deposit to confirm your booking. PBS will notify yo of this at the start of the booking process. Once a booking has been processed the deposit is non-refundable. The balance of the accommodation is payable no less than 12 weeks before the start of the rental period. If payment is not received by the due date, the company reserves the right to give notice in writing that the reservation is cancelled. Reservations made within 12 weeks of the start of the rental period require full payment at the time of booking.

Villas are only bookable in conjunction with booking Memberships to The Peligoni Club. We reserve the right to cancel your booking if you do not book and pay for Memberships at least one month before your stay.

It is advisable to book membership and watersport packages at the time of booking, or as soon as possible, as the Company cannot otherwise guarantee that there will be specific packages available, particularly during high season.

Watersports packages and upgrades are refundable up until 1 month prior to your departure date to the club.

Rental terms conditions

The rental period shall commence at 4.00pm on the day of your arrival and unless otherwise arranged, you must vacate your accommodation by 10am on the day of your departure. Please bear these timings in mind when booking your flights as the Company shall not be obliged to offer accommodation before the time stated and the Client shall not be entitled to remain in occupation after the time stated. However, Club facilities will be available to the Client at all times on arrival/departure days. We ask that you let us know your flight arrival/departure times as soon as they are available, and your planned arrival time at The Club. The maximum number to reside in the property must not exceed the advertised amount unless written consent has been issued by the Company.

Security deposit for accommodation

A security deposit is taken on arrival at The Club in Zakynthos, Greece. Credit card details are required and the amount equivalent to 15% of one week’s rental amount of your accommodation will be pre-authorised. In the event when the Client takes more than one rental property, the 15% security deposit will amount from the  accommodation with the highest weekly rental amount. However the sum reserved by this clause shall not limit the Client’s liability to the Owner.

The Client agrees to be a considerate tenant and to take good care of the property. The Client must leave the accommodation in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period. Although a final clean is included in our rental price, the Company reserves the right to make retention from the security deposit to cover additional cleaning costs if the Client leaves the property in an unacceptable condition. The Client also agrees not to act in any way  which would cause disturbance to those residents in the neighbouring properties. The Client shall report to the house manager or Peligoni, without delay, any defects in the property or breakdown in the equipment, plant, machinery or appliances in the property, swimming pool or garden. Arrangements for repair and/or replacement will be made as soon as possible.

Damage to Club Property

The Club takes no deposit to cover damage to Club property. However you will be expected to make an immediate cash settlement for the replacement of any equipment or furnishings lost or damaged by you during the period of your use of The Club. Normal wear and tear on Club sports equipment is covered within the price of your holiday. Should any of this equipment be damaged wilfully, as a result of your negligence, through inappropriate usage or as  a direct result of your failing to respond to instructions from Peligoni Club staff, you will be held responsible for the cost of repair or replacement of that equipment. This Contract shall be governed by English law in every particular

including formation and interpretation and shall be deemed to have been made in England.

Changes and/or Cancellation

Let us know any changes to your booking as soon as possible. Where changes are possible, the Company will endeavour to keep the extra costs to a minimum. Cancellation must be made in writing by the group leader who made the booking and be accompanied with all booking documents issued. Cancellation will be effective from the date the documents are received by the Company. The villa deposit is non-refundable however the following will apply for the villa balance:

Earlier than 12 weeks before the holiday: 50% of the balance paid will be refunded Less than 12 weeks before the holiday: no refund possible

We strongly recommend that you take out full holiday insurance to cover cancellations, public liability, personal belongings, loss and fire etc. as these are not covered by the Company’s or the property’s insurance.

Whilst all efforts are made to supply holiday activities as detailed in our price list and brochure, we reserve the right to make changes at our discretion if the need arises. In this event we shall inform you as early as possible of any such changes. In the rare event that we need to cancel or make major changes to your holiday, we shall inform you as soon as possible and offer the following option:

  • Refund of all money paid to us within 14
  • Arrangement of an alternative comparable holiday if

Should the cancellation be for reasons outside of our control, then we shall retain our reasonable expenses.

Complaints and Grievances

The Company hopes that you have an enjoyable and successful holiday, however, in the unlikely event of a complaint, in the first instance, our managers at the resort should be notified, and they will try to solve your problem. If the problem cannot be resolved, a written report should be made and given in person to the Management on the island, or afterwards via our booking agents in the UK. Complaints received more than 28 days after the end of your holiday cannot be reliably investigated and thus, will not be accepted.

Responsibility for loss or injury

The Company and Owners accept no responsibility for any temporary defect or stoppages in the supply of public services to the property or the Peligoni Club, nor in respect of any equipment, plant, machinery, swimming pool or garden etc. The Company accepts no responsibility for loss or injury arising from the use of any Peligoni Club equipment e.g. dinghies, sailboards and diving equipment, in particular a loss or injury caused by your failure to carry out instructions given by Peligoni Club Staff. The Company cannot accept responsibility for any loss, damage or expense arising from war, threat of war, civil unrest, industrial action, terrorist activities, adverse weather conditions or any other event outside the control of the Company. Under no circumstances shall liability to the Client exceed the amount paid to the Company for the rental period.
